METHODS OF DOCUMENTATION AND MEASURED DRAWINGS
(ARC1215)/(ARC 60305)
This module introduced the basic preparation of measuring drawings of an approved building to prescribed standard. Moreover, it also taught several method of documenting historic structures to preserve an accurate record of historic properties.
From this module, I have learned to identify and classify architectural historic structure. At the same time, I also enhanced my knowledge in explaining the as-built building constructions, architectural details elements and the application of architectural historic documentation. Other than that, I also found that teamwork acts as an important role in this module. Without teamwork we are not able to complete all the stuff on time and efficiently. Teamwork can be found in executing the fieldwork and hands-on measurements and translated measured data into scale drawings.
This module can divide into three parts; Project 1 - Sketchbook and Journal, Project 2- Measured Drawing and Models, Project 3- Building Report and Video. Most of the project have to complete with your groupmates. Thus, team dynamic and the power of team is mobolised throught project 2 and 3.
