PROJECT 1: SKETCHBOOK AND JOURNAL

Project 1 is an only individual assignment in this module. This project allowed student to observe the surrounding of the building and drew out the spirit of the building.  In this project, student is assigned to draw out the genius loci, poetic quality, cultural attributes and construction detail of the building.

 

I have learnt to capture the tangible and intangible essence that is contained within the architecture realm. Other than the observation and capture skills, I also learnt to manage my time probably.  Hence, I able to complete 10 pieces of sketches of Istana Building on time and efficiently.

 

Through this assignment, I not merely learnt how draw out the spirit of Istana Bandar and also learnt to write a proper caption for my drawings.  Thus, reader can understand about the meaning of my drawings. Sketches are shown at below.
