Project 1: Modelling

Using AutoCad to trace and draw out the plan and elevations.

Transfer plan and elevations into Rhino and using Rhino to form the 3d model.  All the plan elevations are rotated in order to get the same direction with the plan. 

Using Rhino to extrude the ground floor level.

Extrusion of first floor level.

The model is fully extruded.

Create layers to assign different colours for each part.

By using drape, the topography for the model is formed.

Model is transferred from Rhino to 3Ds Max for rendering.  Here are the photos which have been rendered.

Project 2A: Exterior Rendering

Download grass and material texture from the internet.

Selection of materials.

Edit bulging effect with photoshop.

 

Create background environment.

Application of background environment.

Application of glasses on the building.

Adjust camera view.

 

Adjust daylight and camera setting. 

Add in trees to the surrounding.

Import of material.

Application of materials such as metal, timber and concrete on the building.

 

Edit bulging effect with photoshop.

 

Application and preview of background environment.

Rendering to see the effect of the environment.

Camera and sunlight setting.

Adjust the daylight on top of the building.

Decorate the surrounding.

Project 2b: Interior Rendering

Remove the exterior surface in order to view the interior of building.

Apply material by using arch & design as the material of it has good reflection.. it

Download the model.

Change the material of cabinet.

Apply material on the furniture.

Hide the exterior surface and put material for interior.

Find the interior's model such as furniture from Archive 3D website.

Put the cabinet which is downloaded from the internet into the kitchen.

Change the material which is provided by the furniture.

Try to render after all the furniture are placed in the interior.

Remove the exterior surface of upper floor.

Put the furniture into the bedroom.

Camera is set up.

Unhide all the surface.

Bedroom at daytime.

Bedroom at night time.

Apply light in the interior by using the Omni in 3D Max. Hence, the interior will be brighten up.

Rendering.
