PROJECT 2A: SITE ANALYSIS OF PULAU BANDING & DESIGN IMPLICATIONS
In this semester, we wre assigned to visit Pulau Banding which located at Perak. Pulau Banding is a 243-hectare man-made island located within the majestic Temenggor Lake. The Island sits amidst the 130 million year-old Royal Belum Rainforest, known for nature based activities such as fishing, bird watching, camping and visiting orang asli settlements. This place not only allow visitor to get closer with the nature but also attract many researchers came to here to do research.
During this trip, we have to analyse the micro and macro site analysis of Belum Rainforest. After that, each group is required to produce two design implications which are able to help in our design. Other than site anaylsis, each of us also have to get some inpirations from Belum Rainforest and start to produce a design of Nature Appreciate Centre.
