HON YI HANG

This is a life capsule for star gazing, which is designed for astronomy enthusiast to enjoy watching the sky. In order to provide the greatest comfort to the client, we have measured the average space required in different position during sky-watching. We also ensure our design are able to accommodate some basic astronomy instruments while providing some working spaces. Moreover, I have also learned to explore objective parameters of design process through solving real-life architectural problems and gain

knowledge in understanding the human factors for the design to enhance comfort, safety and productivity. This project also allowed me to distinguish the role of scale and proportion in the relationship between the human body and a designed space or enclosure.

This is also a group assignment in which we have to team up with three persons and produce a design together after a few discussion. From this assignment, I have learned to communicate and work hand-in-hand with my team mates to improve our design.  Communication enabled us to work for our group assignment easily and efficiently. Meanwhile I also understood team dynamics and mobilized the power of teams.
